Technical Issues Delay Canadian Prime Minister's Departure from India

The office of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced today that his departure from India has been delayed after the aircraft used by him and the rest of the Canadian delegation encountered "technical issues." Trudeau was scheduled to leave India, where he attended the G20 summit in New Delhi, this evening local time.

A statement from the Prime Minister's Office said, "Upon departing for the airport, we were informed by the Canadian Armed Forces that the aircraft (CFC 001) is experiencing technical problems." It added, "These issues cannot be resolved tonight, and our delegation will remain in India until alternative arrangements are made." The statement did not specify the nature of the problems facing the aircraft.
