The Lebanese Athletics Federation participated in the extraordinary general assembly meeting of the West Asian Athletics Federation, which took place in Qatar under the presidency of the chairman of the West Asian Federation, Siyar Al-Anzi, and with the attendance of the president of the Asian Athletics Federation, Major General Dahlan Al-Hamd. The Lebanese Federation was represented by its president, Roland Saadeh, and the secretary general, Wassim Al-Houli. The agenda of the meeting included one item, which was "discussing the Asian Federation's letter concerning the legal status of the federation and making a decision regarding it." All 12 countries unanimously approved the extension of the West Asian Athletics Federation's board for an additional four years. It is noteworthy that the secretary general of the Lebanese Athletics Federation, Wassim Al-Houli, holds a position on the executive office of the federation, which means he will continue until 2027.

Following the extraordinary general assembly, a meeting of the Board of Directors of the federation was held, where the minutes of the fourth meeting of the West Asian Federation’s board were ratified, as well as the minutes of the first executive office meeting. The working committees' activities from the previous year were also discussed. The meeting addressed upcoming championships and host countries, deciding to hold the West Asian Athletics Championships for men and women from April 26 to April 29 in Qatar. Additionally, the mechanisms for participation in upcoming championships (delegation accommodations, arrangements for organizing countries, and follow-up on preparations before the championship) were discussed.
