Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi stated in a press conference in Washington that "if the council fails to adopt the resolution today, it will give Israel a license to continue its massacre." He continued, "Our priority now is to stop the war, halt the killings, and stop the destruction of infrastructure in Gaza." He added, "The message being sent is that Israel is above international law... and the world is simply not doing much. We disagree with the United States regarding its position on a ceasefire."
