Gas Exploration in Block 9: Bassil's Remarks

The head of the Free Patriotic Movement, MP Gebran Bassil, wrote on his account on the platform "X": "It is a happy coincidence that gas exploration in Block 9 begins on August 17, the same date when the law on petroleum resources in Lebanese waters was approved in 2010." He added: "For 13 years, we have been struggling against blockers and skeptics, giving hope to those who surrender, and the journey is still long. Hopefully, the future is better." He continued: "We promised the Lebanese that we would continue to work tirelessly, with transparency and professionalism, to protect this wealth by law and invest it for our youth in education, and preserve its revenues in a sovereign fund for future generations."
