Vice President of the House of Representatives Elias Bou Saab announced that the U.S. energy security envoy Amos Hochstein will assist in the Egyptian gas file, with the U.S. administration expected to respond in early September to the World Bank regarding the Egyptian gas loan to Lebanon. He noted that the qualitative shift in Lebanon's electricity is very encouraging, as is the improvement in revenue collection, which gives hope for increased supply hours. Bou Saab added to "MTV": "Hochstein's visit is not related to the presidential file or Le Drian's visit, but rather to confirm the stability necessary for the successful extraction of gas."
