Member of the Democratic Gathering bloc, MP Wael Abu Faour, discussed the latest developments with the UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Joanna Fronzska. Following the meeting, Abu Faour urged the United Nations for a more decisive role against Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people. He also called for the declaration of Gaza as a disaster area, which would entail stopping the aggression, facilitating the entry of medical and food aid, and evacuating the injured. He emphasized the necessity of holding Israel accountable for its crimes and ceasing the displacement of Palestinians, which he claims is taking place with the support and complicity of countries that experience a sense of subjugation towards the Zionist project, notably the United States, France, Britain, Germany, and other nations he considers complicit in the crimes committed. Abu Faour listened to Fronzska's explanation of "the efforts the United Nations is making with all parties concerned to stop the war in Gaza and prevent its extension to Lebanon."
