The Saudi National Orchestra and Choir held a musical night at the Abdali Boulevard in Jordan's capital, Amman, as part of the Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts 2023, during its thirty-seventh edition from July 26 to August 5, 2023. The event was attended by the Saudi Ambassador to Jordan, Nayef bin Bandar Al-Sudairi. The groups presented a selection of national songs and various others, interspersed with individual musical performances, which garnered significant attendance from the Jordanian audience. Male and female performing groups participated in the concert, showcasing the arts of Samri, Khutbah, Khubaiti, and Yanbuawi.
The evening concluded with recognition for the Saudi participants in the festival, presented to the head of the Saudi delegation, Sultan Al-Bazai, the CEO of the Theater and Performing Arts Authority. The Kingdom's participation in the Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts is part of the Ministry of Culture's efforts, represented by cultural agencies, to enhance the presence of Saudi culture in Arab and international festivals and events. It also reflects the Ministry's commitment to promoting international cultural exchange, which is one of its strategic goals under the Saudi Vision 2030 framework.
