The company (M42), a newly formed joint venture in Abu Dhabi between "Mubadala Investment" and the AI-focused group (G42), has acquired the European kidney dialysis clinic chain "Diaverum" from the "Bridgepoint" group. M42 stated in a statement that it "will buy Diaverum, headquartered in Sweden, thus becoming the largest healthcare company in the Middle East." The company did not disclose the value of the transaction in the statement. The deal, pending regulatory approval, is expected to be completed later this year. Mubadala and G42 announced last Monday the merger of their assets in the healthcare sector into M42, which will hold a large portfolio including the "Imperial College London" Diabetes Centre, "DHA" Hospital, and "HealthPoint" Hospital. Founded in 1991, Diaverum is a multinational company providing kidney care services and operates 440 clinics in 23 countries.
