The Secretary of the Gas Distributors Syndicate, Jan Hatim, reassured that the supply is available and there is no need for citizens to panic. In an interview with "MTV", Hatim stated, "The tanks of the importing companies are full, and there is a ship set to unload its cargo of 5,000 tons by the end of this weekend. More than 6 gas ships enter Lebanon monthly, which is sufficient to meet local demand," stressing that there will be no interruption of gas supply unless there is any maritime blockade. He revealed that a meeting for the entire fuel sector is set to devise an emergency plan regarding this matter.
