Sky News reported on Monday that billionaire Jim Ratcliffe's company, INEOS Sports, is considering acquiring a minority stake in Manchester United instead of pursuing a full takeover of the Premier League club. This move comes as an attempt to end a process that has lasted nearly ten months regarding the future ownership of the club. The report stated that Ratcliffe's INEOS Sports proposed a deal to the Glazer family, the owners of United, which would involve acquiring a portion of its shares on par with those of Manchester United traded on the New York Stock Exchange. Members of the Glazer family currently hold a minority stake in Manchester United and control the club through a dual-class share structure. Manchester United and INEOS did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Reuters.
