Turkish President to Sunak: The West Must Fulfill Its Promises to Palestinians

The Turkish presidency indicated today, Monday, that "President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan informed British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak during a phone call that Western countries must refrain from taking 'provocative steps' regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict." The presidency noted that "Erdoğan told Sunak that Western powers should remember the unfulfilled promises made to Palestine and do what is necessary." It stated: "Erdoğan and Sunak also discussed solutions to the serious humanitarian crisis in Gaza." President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan conducted a phone call with his British counterpart Rishi Sunak. The call addressed the current state of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the policies needed to establish peace in the region, and urgent measures to resolve the escalating humanitarian crisis.
