Macron to Netanyahu: End Violent Attacks Against Palestinians

French President Emmanuel Macron urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday to "end the violent attacks carried out by Israeli settlers against Palestinian civilians in the West Bank." Macron's office at the Élysée stated that "the two sides had a phone call today in which Macron once again emphasized the necessity of protecting civilian populations in Gaza and discussed with Netanyahu the importance of reaching a lasting ceasefire agreement." Macron reiterated "France's solidarity with Israel in its war against terrorism, but he requested that Netanyahu take necessary actions to end the settlers' attacks against Palestinians in the West Bank."
