A New Feature for Those Annoyed by Voice Messages

The messaging app "WhatsApp" is working on a new feature aimed at users who dislike the idea of voice messages. A large segment of users expresses annoyance at listening to audio content for extended periods, particularly when it concerns important messages containing valuable information.

As a result, the website "WABetaInfo" has revealed that the latest beta version of "WhatsApp" for iPhones includes a feature that allows users to convert voice messages into written text. Users will be able to read the content of the voice message as plain text.

Regarding privacy, the source noted that the feature will process the texts only on the device and will not upload them to "WhatsApp" servers, which is a reassuring aspect for privacy-conscious users.

However, experts have indicated that this feature will face some challenges; it may not provide written text if it cannot process the voice message when spoken in a language not recorded in its database.

It is still unclear when this feature will be implemented on Android devices or when it will be widely available to everyone. In comparison, "Telegram," which is considered one of WhatsApp's main competitors, offers a service to convert videos and voice messages into written text, available to subscribers of its "Premium" service. In contrast, the WhatsApp feature will be available to all users without exception.
