Title: Indonesia Stripped of Right to Host Under-20 World Cup

The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) issued a statement stripping Indonesia of its right to host the Under-20 World Cup. The decision to exclude Indonesia from hosting the tournament, which was scheduled to take place from May 20 to June 11, stemmed from the Indonesian Football Association's cancellation of the draw after the governor of predominantly Hindu Bali refused to host the Israeli team. It was announced that a new host would be announced as soon as possible, with the tournament dates currently remaining unchanged. Potential sanctions against the Indonesian Football Association may also be determined at a later stage. The president of the Indonesian association stated that "FIFA recognized that the current situation cannot continue, and we must comply with that as a member state of the international federation." An Indonesian official noted that "FIFA ruled that Indonesia had not adhered to the commitments made in its bid to host the Under-20 World Cup."
