Measures in Ghobeiry to Contain the Syrian Displacement Crisis

The media office of the Ghobeiry municipality issued a statement stating: "Following the Cabinet's decision regarding the issue of Syrian displacement and in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities, the Ghobeiry municipal police have started today to inspect all shops, institutions, companies, and freelance workshops run by Syrian refugees to verify their possession of legal licenses. In case of violations, immediate closure actions are being taken." The statement added, "The campaign will continue daily in addition to specific measures to prevent foreigners from operating vehicles."
