Seizure of Smuggled and Counterfeit Cigars and Tobacco

The Lebanese Tobacco and Tobacco Control Administration, known as "Regie," continues its efforts to combat smuggling. It announced in a statement that it "seized large quantities of smuggled and counterfeit cigars and tobacco, as well as a laboratory and factory for the counterfeiting and packaging of tobacco, as a result of raids in Antelias, Dbayeh, Nahr El Kalb, Douk Mesbah, Bourj Hammoud, Sodeco, the southern suburbs, Kheldeh, and Bir Hassan. Reports of the violations have been filed for consideration by the relevant judiciary."
