Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry confirmed, in response to a question about whether Israel and the United States are pressuring Egypt to accept the displacement of Palestinians in exchange for debt cancellation, that "this is not true." He added in a press conference that "it is not possible to displace Palestinians outside their homeland."
