Conviction of Two Men for Attempting to Sell Sanctioned Iranian Oil

The U.S. Department of Justice announced that a U.S. court convicted two men for selling Iranian oil in violation of sanctions imposed by Washington and for conspiring to commit money laundering. Chen Yu Wang and Daniel Ray Lin were convicted on Wednesday, and each faces a maximum sentence of 45 years in prison. The department stated that the men planned to purchase oil from Iran, conceal its origin, and then sell it to a refinery in China.
