Kremlin: Putin Discussed the Situation in Nagorno-Karabakh with the Iranian President

The Kremlin stated today, Tuesday, that "Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh region with his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi during a phone call." Iran shares borders with both Azerbaijan and Armenia, which have been in conflict over the Nagorno-Karabakh region for decades. Armenians are now fleeing the region in large numbers after Azerbaijan launched a swift offensive last week to reclaim control over the separatist area.
