Romania: Explosion in Gas Pipeline

A government emergency unit in Romania announced that four people were killed and five others were injured due to an explosion in a gas pipeline at a highway construction site in Franța County in the eastern part of the country early on Thursday. The fire was extinguished immediately, and the injured were transferred to the hospital. Investigators are looking into the causes of the explosion. Last month, dozens of people were injured due to explosions at a liquefied gas station in the town of Crivădia, near the capital Bucharest, which was one of several fires that typically occur in the country.
