The European Commission announced on Friday that it "will provide humanitarian aid worth an initial €125 million ($134 million) to Palestinians in 2024." It added that "this money will be used to support relief organizations in both Gaza and the Israeli-occupied West Bank." The Commission stated in a statement that "with each passing day, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is worsening... As a result, the Commission has urgently mobilized a large array of response tools it uses in emergency situations. With a total of 30 flights organized carrying relief supplies, one thousand tons of aid have already been sent to those in need in Gaza."
