Title: Former Juventus President Banned for 16 Months

The Italian Football Federation revealed today, Monday, that a sports court has decided to suspend former Juventus president, Andrea Agnelli, for 16 months from engaging in any activities related to the game, due to accusations in a case concerning alleged irregularities regarding players' payments.

The Italian Federation added that Agnelli, a prominent figure behind the failed European Super League project in 2021, was also fined €60,000 (approximately $66,000).

Agnelli served as president of Juventus for over a decade but announced his resignation in November of last year, following alleged irregularities in the accounts of Italy's most successful football club.

In relation to the same case, Juventus agreed in May to pay a fine of €718,000 and not to appeal the penalty of a ten-point deduction from the team's standings in last season's Serie A, after reaching a settlement with Italy's football authorities.
