A real tragedy occurred in San Pedro, Sinaloa, Mexico, during a gender reveal party when the plane that was supposed to release colored powder crashed, resulting in the death of its pilot in front of the guests. According to the British newspaper "Daily Mail," the young couple celebrating with family and friends had rented a small plane to fly overhead and scatter pink or blue powder to indicate the gender of their baby.
At a critical moment, as the plane approached the couple standing beside a sign reading "Baby," the pilot released pink smoke from the aircraft, indicating a baby girl, and cheers erupted at the reveal. However, the happy moment lasted only a few seconds.
A malfunction occurred in the PA-25-235 Pawnee aircraft that caused one of its wings to detach mid-air, leading it to go out of control and crash behind a barrier of palm trees, according to widely circulated video footage on social media. The pilot, 32-year-old Luis Aingel, was found among the wreckage after the incident and was the only one on board. He died from his injuries shortly after being transported to the hospital.
