Berrettini, the Defending Champion, Withdraws from the Queens Tennis Tournament

Italian Matteo Berrettini, the defending champion, announced his withdrawal from the Queens tennis tournament on Monday. He had to withdraw from the Monte Carlo Masters, Madrid Open, and French Open due to a recurring abdominal injury, before participating in the Stuttgart Open, where he lost in the first round to his compatriot Lorenzo Sonego. He said, "I am really sad to withdraw from the tournament and will not have the chance to defend my title. I wish the tournament and all the participants a successful week. I look forward to returning next year." The Queens tournament kicks off in London later on Monday.
