Prime Minister: Egypt Intends to Meet All Its Obligations and Service Its Debts

Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly noted today, Tuesday, that "the government is preparing to offer more shares in state-owned companies, in addition to the offerings that have already been announced for 32 companies." In a press conference in Cairo, Madbouly stated, "An agreement has already been reached on a quarter of the offerings for shares in 32 companies." He emphasized that "Egypt intends to fulfill all its financial obligations and pay off its debts," adding that "the government has delayed meeting its obligations to some local companies."
