India Demands "Equality" in Climate Talks at COP28

Indian Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav called for "equality and justice" in the United Nations climate negotiations today, stating that "wealthy nations should lead the global climate action." These remarks highlight India's long-standing position as a developing country that should not be forced to reduce its energy-related emissions, despite being the third-largest emitter after China and the United States.
