Former mixed martial arts champion Francis Ngannou has been ranked tenth in the heavyweight division by the World Boxing Council (WBC) on Wednesday following his points loss to champion Tyson Fury in his professional boxing debut last month. Ngannou faced Fury in a non-title bout in Riyadh on October 28, where he narrowly lost after dropping his British opponent to the canvas with a left hook in the third round. The WBC made the rare decision to grant a ranking to a boxer who has not achieved any professional victories during its general conference.
