Reaction of Baalbek Tribes to the Kidnapping of Saudi Citizen

The tribes and families of Baalbek al-Hermel condemned the kidnapping of Saudi citizen Mishari Al-Mutairi during a meeting at the house of Abbas Asadallah Shams. Following discussions, a statement was issued declaring that "the kidnapping of the Saudi citizen in Beirut is a cowardly and despicable act that is unrelated to the morals and traditions of the tribes. It is entirely condemned, and there is no familial or tribal cover for any involved or participating individual. We call on the security and military authorities to act with an iron fist, bring them to justice, and prosecute them, as they intentionally or unintentionally tarnish the honorable history of our region and contribute to the deprivation of resources by driving capital away from the Baalbek-Hermel area. This is a serious crime against the future of our children, and we will not remain silent any longer regarding any negligence in pursuing these infiltrators and disruptors of social and economic security in the Baalbek-Hermel governorate."
