Union of Editors Celebrates Colleagues on International Women's Day

The Union of Lebanese Press Editors praised "female journalists and media professionals" in a statement issued on the occasion of International Women's Day. It highlighted their "pioneering role in the profession and within the union," noting that they constitute 46 percent of its members, a figure that is on the rise due to their consistent and brilliant presence in print, audio, and visual media, as well as the successes they achieve in local, Arab, and international media, where they shine with their competencies and ability to deliver quality and distinguished contributions.

The statement emphasized that "Lebanese female journalists and media professionals have proven through their struggles that they have a deep and positive impact on public opinion, thanks to their courage and excellence. We take pride in them and wish them continued brilliance and effectiveness in serving their country and society, which grows stronger and more resilient due to their national, union, and humanitarian commitment to uphold the value of truth, regardless of the challenges."
