Khamenei: Countries Normalizing Relations with Israel "Are Betting on a Losing Horse"

Iranian state media reported today, Tuesday, that Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei stated that countries seeking to normalize relations with Israel "are betting on a losing horse." Khamenei said, "The firm position of the Islamic Republic is that the countries betting on normalization with Israel will lose. They are betting on a losing horse." Last month, Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen mentioned that the general framework for an agreement to establish relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia, mediated by the U.S., could be ready by early next year, after all three countries indicated progress in the complex negotiations.
