Title: Indian Parliament to Discuss No-Confidence Motion Against Modi Government

The Indian Parliament is set to discuss today, Tuesday, a no-confidence motion proposed by opposition parties against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who was reinstated to his position on Monday, will lead the discussion on behalf of the opposition. Legislators are scheduled to vote on the proposal on Thursday after the discussion. However, Modi's government is unlikely to lose the vote as the Bharatiya Janata Party and its allies hold the majority.

Opposition leaders assert that the discussion will compel Modi to address the ongoing ethnic clashes in Manipur. More than 150 people have died, and tens of thousands have been displaced in Manipur due to ethnic conflicts between the majority Meitei community and the minority Kuki tribe. Federal Home Minister Amit Shah stated that "the government is ready to discuss the issue" and accused the opposition of "running away." This marks the second time Modi's government has faced a no-confidence motion since it came to power in 2014.
