Young Egyptian artist Ahmed Qandil passed away today, Monday, at the age of 36 due to a sudden heart attack, according to local media outlets. Fellow actors quickly expressed their condolences for the young actor on their social media accounts.
Qandil had been feeling deep sadness since the death of his mother seven months ago. The late actor expressed his sorrow over his mother's passing in many of his posts on Facebook, with his last words being: "Is it a shame if I say I don't know how to live after my mom?"
For his part, the head of the Actors' Syndicate in Egypt, actor Ashraf Zaki, confirmed that the cause of death was a heart attack, and the funeral prayer will be held today after the noon prayer at Al-Hosary Mosque in 6th of October City. Notably, Qandil participated in the series "Al-Ikhteyar 2," playing the role of "Islam Mashhour," one of the victims of terrorist operations.
