Final Steps to Complete the Prisoner Exchange Deal: Red Cross President Meets Haniya in Qatar

The International Committee of the Red Cross announced that its president traveled to Qatar today, Monday, to meet with the leader of the Palestinian Hamas movement "to make progress on humanitarian issues" related to the group's conflict with Israel. The Geneva-based committee stated in a press release that President Mirjana Spoljaric met with Ismail Haniya and also separately with representatives of the Qatari authorities, who are acting as mediators in the conflict.
