NASA Denies US Satellite Falling Over Kyiv

The American space agency "NASA" has denied reports about a US satellite falling over Kyiv, stating that "these reports are unreliable and the satellite remains in orbit." Earlier, Ukrainian media reported that "the head of the military administration of Kyiv, Serhiy Popko, linked a bright flash in the sky above the capital to the fall of a satellite belonging to NASA." A NASA spokesperson stated, "We are tracking a satellite belonging to the agency called (RHESSI) which is still currently in orbit," noting that "NASA is working with the US Department of Defense on this matter."

Last night, several Ukrainian newspapers reported, citing eyewitnesses, a "bright flash and loud explosions in the sky over Kyiv and the region, before an announcement to go to shelters." The head of Zelensky's office, Andriy Yermak, wrote on social media that "this phenomenon was the result of the actions of Ukrainian air defense but quickly deleted the message."
