South Korea's Deputy National Security Advisor Kim Tae-hyo stated today that South Korea will supply Ukraine with more mine clearance equipment. This announcement follows President Yoon Suk-yeol's visit to Kyiv earlier in the week, during which he pledged to provide additional military and humanitarian assistance amid the war against Russia. In a briefing, Tae-hyo noted, "We are considering increasing support regarding mine detection devices and their removal equipment, as the assessment concluded that Ukraine's need is extremely urgent." In a press conference following yesterday's meeting, Yoon mentioned that South Korea will provide "broader military supplies" to Ukraine this year, after previously supplying non-lethal items such as protective gear and helmets last year.
