Member of Parliament, Major General Ashraf Rifi, pointed out today, Saturday, that "the Internal Security Forces have fulfilled their national duties with dedication, professionalism, and discipline, and at times served as a model to follow." Rifi stated in a statement: "What is happening today does not resemble this institution, which has sacrificed martyrs for Lebanon and its security and stability, in coordination with the army and other security agencies." He emphasized that "the priority today should be to support the officers, non-commissioned officers, and personnel, and to ensure their families' needs for healthcare, education, and a decent living, so they can endure and fulfill their duties." He also called on "everyone to exercise their conscience and stop the bickering, and if there is competition or disagreement, which is normal, it should be within closed walls." Adding: "What is happening is shameful, and history does not forgive."
