The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) announced in a statement today, Wednesday, that a displaced person was killed and 44 others were injured in an airstrike that occurred near one of its schools in Rafah. The agency added that the school was housing 4,600 people and sustained significant damage. In the latest count of Israeli bombardment in the Gaza Strip today, around 756 Palestinians were killed, including 34% children, within a 24-hour period. Hamas announced that it launched retaliatory rocket barrages toward Tel Aviv in response to the massacres.
