Tropical Storm "Bret" continued its path through the Eastern Caribbean islands today, Friday, bringing strong winds and heavy rain to the region. The meteorological agency in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines stated in a report that the storm reached the island in the early morning, with violent winds extending up to 185 kilometers from the center of the storm.

Mikeli Berki, head of the public media agency, reported that "Bret forced more than 120 people to seek shelter yesterday, Thursday," noting that the weather was "highly volatile, and many near the coast abandoned their homes." In addition, the Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Philip J. Pierre, highlighted that "several public facilities were closed as Bret approached, and schools were also closed."
