The report indicated that "the decision was made based on a lawsuit against Al-Halbousi this year," without providing further details. In response, Al-Halbousi stated in a video clip that the court's decision to end his term is "strange" and that he will seek clarifications. Al-Halbousi: "We will resort to the procedures that protect constitutional rights." He added, "I have been keen since the moment I entered Parliament to address the problems that the country faces." The court's decision is final and cannot be appealed.
