Member of the "Development and Liberation" bloc, MP inayat Azz al-Din, confirmed that "the Army Commander’s name is being seriously considered for the elections, and our relationship with the army is very good, but everything should be subject to dialogue regarding specifications and going to the Parliament." Azz al-Din questioned in an interview via LBCI: "What will we lose if we go to dialogue? Could we lose more than what we have already lost?" In a separate context, Azz al-Din revealed that "in the Women and Children Committee, we have established a work strategy for the first time titled 'Protection and Empowerment,' and a proposal for a law criminalizing sexual harassment that I had submitted in 2019 has been approved."
