The Russian Investigative Committee has opened an investigation into a terrorist act after a major freight train derailed due to what was described as a "homemade bomb" on a railway line in the Ryazan region. The committee stated: "According to the investigation, an improvised explosive device detonated at 07:12 on November 11, 2023. As a result, 19 train cars went off the tracks."
