The Commander of the Army, General Joseph Aoun, attended the conclusion of the joint exercise "Resolute Union 2023" in the Hanouch area. The exercise lasted for 9 days and was led by the Navy with the participation of the Air Force, military medical units, the Engineering Regiment, and the Naval Commandos, alongside personnel from American, British, and French training teams, as well as Jordanian, Iraqi, and Egyptian units.
The exercise was attended by U.S. Ambassador Dorothy Shea, representatives from various embassies, several military attachés, and army officers. The joint operation simulated actions at sea, on land, and in the air, including boarding ships, evacuating casualties by helicopters, naval and aerial firing exercises, as well as beach landings and underwater demolitions. The goal was to enhance the military capabilities of army units and improve cooperation and coordination with the participating friendly forces.
