Lawyer Cecile Roukoz, sister of the Beirut port blast victim Joseph Roukoz, and William Noun, brother of victim Joe Noun, filed a statement before the Public Prosecution, requesting the summoning of media figure Rafiq Nasrallah regarding information he provided during a television interview. In that interview, he stated that "the Israeli enemy is the one who exploded the port of Beirut by bombarding it with a Mini nuclear weapon." The complainants requested the judiciary to examine the source of Nasrallah's information and its seriousness, and to include his testimony in the investigation file pending before investigative judge Tarek Bitar.
