Russian media reported on Wednesday that Ukrainian forces attempted to attack a spent nuclear fuel storage facility at the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant using a drone. According to the report, Russian security forces concluded this after analyzing the flight path of the intercepted drone. They released an image of the drone, which they claim was used in the attack, identifying it as a quadcopter. In response, senior advisor to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Mykhailo Podolyak, denied any attempt by Kyiv to strike the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant using a drone. Podolyak stated to Reuters, "Without a doubt, Ukraine did not carry out any drone attack on the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, did not intend to do so, and will not think about doing so."
