The head of the Administration and Justice Committee, MP George Adwan, condemned "the blatant violation by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees of Lebanese sovereignty by granting housing certificates to Syrians." He called on the government to take immediate decisions and measures "to stop this violation and nullify its effects." He stated via "X": "This situation necessitates holding any Lebanese official accountable for this blatant violation of the constitution and laws, and taking strict measures against the Commission."
