The International Committee of the Red Cross stated today, Friday, that it assisted in the release and transfer of 19 Palestinian prisoners from Israeli detention centers to Ramallah. The number announced by the committee typically includes only those for whom the organization is directly responsible for their release. The Switzerland-based organization is tasked with securing the release of hostages in Gaza and Palestinian prisoners in Israeli detention centers under the terms of the temporary truce between Israel and the Palestinian Islamic resistance movement (Hamas), which ended today.
