UAE Warns of the Risk of Gaza War Expanding Regionally

The United Arab Emirates warned today, Friday, that there is a real danger of the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza expanding to the region. It stated that it is working "relentlessly" to ensure a humanitarian ceasefire. Minister of State Noura Al Kaabi said at a political conference in the capital, Abu Dhabi, "As we continue to work to stop this war, we cannot ignore the broader context and the necessity to reduce the temperature in a region that is approaching a boiling point." She added, "The risk of regional expansion and further escalation is real, as well as the danger of extremist groups exploiting the situation to promote ideologies that could keep us trapped in cycles of violence."
