The Ukrainian Ministry of Energy stated on Saturday that the "Russian-occupied Zaporizhia nuclear power plant lost its power supply for some time after the last remaining line from the territories controlled by Ukraine was damaged, which was later repaired." The ministry's statement noted: "One of the power lines leading to the plant was interrupted late last night, while another line with a capacity of 750 kilowatts ceased operations by 2:31 AM local time (0031 GMT)." The ministry added in the statement: "This power outage is the eighth to occur at the Zaporizhia plant, and it could have led to a nuclear disaster."
