Why Did Trump Ignore Mentioning His Wife Melania in His Speech?

Newsweek reported today that former U.S. President Donald Trump did not mention his wife Melania in his speech while paying tribute to his family that supported him in his ordeal. The New York Post noted the same, pointing out Melania's absence from the hall where he made his statement after becoming the first U.S. president to be indicted on criminal charges. She also did not accompany him nor appeared among the supporting crowds.
