Cyber Attack Targets Israeli Websites

Israeli media reported today, Friday, that "a cyber attack targeted government websites and banks in Israel." As Israel prepares for Iran-backed terror attacks on 'Quds Day,' including cyber warfare, Israeli banks and post offices are experiencing cyberattacks. Additionally, the Israeli army radio announced that the website of the Israeli Electric Company was disrupted due to a cyber attack.

The Hebrew Channel 12 reported today that hacker groups called "Anonymous Sudan" have carried out cyber attacks against some banks and post offices in Israel, including major banks. The channel stated on its website that among the main banks affected by the cyber attack were Bank Mizrahi, Discount Bank, Leumi Bank, and Jerusalem Bank.

Ousher Ashour, the Internet director at "Oran Israel" and electronic advisor to the country's Ministry of Defense, considered that "some groups hostile to Israel may exploit Quds Day to attack financial targets."

The "Quds Day" marches began earlier today in the Iranian capital, Tehran. The IRNA news agency reported that the marches were held under the slogan "Palestine is the Axis of Muslim Unity, Jerusalem on the verge of liberation," with large numbers of Iranian citizens participating to celebrate Quds Day.
